Sacrifice Present #7 – Name This Rhode Island Indoor Baseball And Training Facility
First things first, Sacrifice Present #6, courtesy of Axis Bats, goes to Paul Rioles. Paul, along with close to 100 responders (we have a lot of trivia fans apparently!) correctly identified the Ocean State Waves and the Newport Gulls as the Rhode Island Baseball teams that compete in the Pell Bridge Series. Congrats Paul. And now let’s giveaway another Sacrifice Present to one lucky person who can correctly identify this Rhode Island indoor baseball facility…

- Was founded in 1992. A team of Rhode Island All Star baseball minds, led by former MLB Pitcher Dave Stenhouse and Rhode Island native, opened the doors to a world of baseball indoors for Rhode Island baseball families
- Located across from TF Green (or whatever it is called now) Airport
- Features batting cages, bullpen areas, a weight room, and retractable netting for field and team work

- A literal Who’s Who of Rhode Island baseball past line the walls and hallways of this facility. High School stars, Collegiate players, Professional Baseball players – many of them got their start and worked countless hours on their craft at this location
- Over the years, is constantly upgrading its facility, its equipment, its services. This is a true sign of a company that is committed to providing a best in quality experience for the baseball player and team attending its facility.
- Coach David Roy and Coach John Mello always find time for me at this location to sit down and talk about the state of baseball here in Rhode Island, what’s happening for the season in terms of clinics at the facility, and just chat about motivating kids in a positive way for not only lessons on the field, but off the field. Their coaches always take a minute of their time when I arrive at the facility to chat baseball, talk up a player that has improved over the past season, and to promote a player that used to train there that is doing well in college or even the professional ranks.

- It’s winter clinic schedule includes sessions on hitting, fielding, catching, and pitching and most of these sessions start up right after the new year.
