Have A Weekend Rhode Island Little League – The Parades, The Posts, and The Smiles

How Much Fun Was This? Social media was a buzz all weekend with photos, videos, posts, and shared memories from all over Rhode Island Little Leagues. Parades, Opening Day Ceremony, First Pitch, Pitch-Hit-Run events, and so much more. Here is what some of the Rhode Island Baseball Community shared with me over the weekend:

Fox Point East Side Little League – “What an amazing time was had by all today at our FPESLL Day at the Brown University baseball game. In particular, the Brown players were unbelievable hosts as they greeted all of our players out on the field with high fives, fist bumps, autographs, photo ops, and engaging with them in such a wonderful and personal way. The 11-9 late inning comeback win by the Brown squad over Princeton was icing on the cake!”

West Warwick Baseball – “Some great shots of our Opening Day festivities and our AAA game! Thank you to all that joined us this morning!”

Barrington Little League – “Opening Day 2022!!!! A fun day was had by all! Special thanks to Steve Boyajian for planning it all! Pictures, bouncy slide, dunk tank, Kona Ice truck and of course, an Opening Day Ceremony with our own MC Michelle Muscatello.”

Middletown Little League – “We are very excited for Opening Day”

Central Falls Youth Baseball – “It was the first game for our T-Ball players today! Great job to our players and volunteer coaches. Parents, we are so happy you choose our league to get these kids on the field!”

North Kingstown/Wickford Little League – “We were thrilled to have our first NKWLL Opening Day Parade since 2019. Such a great way to kick-off the baseball season. It was also a wonderful opportunity to properly recognize the contributions of former NKWLL President Arnie Sarazen. Arnie has been the face of NKWLL for as long as I can remember. Arnie, on behalf of the entire NKWLL Community, thank you for your endless leadership and dedication to NKWLL. There are countless testaments to your contributions to this league, but perhaps none more than the 350+ little leaguers who joined NKWLL this year, most of whom were flanking the field this morning as you delivered the first pitch of 2022.”

North Smithfield Little League – “Thank you to everyone for an amazing opening day!!Thank you to North Smithfield Police Department for our parade assistance today! Thank you to all the families that jumped on the grill, guided our players safely on the parade route, helped assist players on the field for the ceremony, volunteered at the concession stand and so much more: THANK YOU! It takes a whole community!”

King Philip Little League – “Thank you to all of our sponsors and dignitaries for coming out to kick off our 2022 Little League season here in Bristol! We couldn’t do it without the support of our community!”

East Providence Central Little League – “Opening Day at EPCLL!! Thank you to all who attended. It’s a great day at Pierce Field.”

Cranston Western Little League – “In just under an hour this field will be full welcoming our players and coaches for the 2022 season! It’s Opening Day at CWLL! Games all day long beginning with our opening ceremonies at 10am.”

Olneyville Little League at Silver Lake Parade

And as I always say, good luck to all the players, coaches, and families participating in Little Leagues throughout Rhode Island. And thank you to all the volunteers, Police and Fire Departments, and board members of each and every Rhode Island Little League!!!
