2022 Rhode Island Baseball Scouting Report – Jayce Bessette
This is an exciting new venture for the Rhode Island Baseball Experience – scouting reports for the Rhode Island Baseball Community written by players, coaches, parents, grandparents, or league administrators. These are players looking for some press, maybe to join an AAU program, maybe to get some local high school exposure statewide, and possibly the attention collegiate coaches and pro scouts. If you would like your profile to be shared with the Rhode Island Baseball Community, send me an email at ribaseballexperience@gmail.com or fill out the contact form at the bottom of this article. So, without any further interruptions and in his own words, I introduce: Jayce Bessette
Player Name: Jayce Bessette

What is your current level of baseball?: Travel, AAU, showcase
Brag About Yourself, Tell Me About Your Rhode Island Baseball Journey: Hi – I am Jayce Bessette and I am 14 years old. Although my current level of baseball is 14U AAU, I also play on the Coventry Seniors Recreational team, Connie Mack team, and I was a starter for the 7th grade ASFMS team in 2020.

My baseball ability is pretty broad, as I can and have played all positions from 1st, 2nd, and 3rd base, Shortstop, Center Field, Left and Right Field, and I am also a Pitcher for the Bandits. The one position I have not played is Catcher. I strive to be an all-around player so I can always help out my team.

Some of my greatest moments playing baseball was winning the Championship game with SnapDragons in the Super Division, also winning the AAU Spring Championship game with the Bandits, then going 10-0 for the ASFMS team. This was all pretty exciting to be a part of.
The coaches I would like to mention who have helped and worked with me to get to be the player I am now are Jeremy Raposa from the SnapDragons and Matt Murphy, as well as Coach Howman my ASFMS Coach. I also want to add Coach David Roy and Coach John Mello who I continue to work with. Most recently I have worked with Nick Raposo who is affiliated with the MLB Cardinals.

I have been told that I am a humble kid, a coachable kid, and a all-around team player. I love playing baseball and I strive to work hard to become the best athlete I can be. My goal is to become an MLB Player. I look forward to having my baseball journey showcased so future young athletes can see my dedication and progress as I move up to each new level.
Great to meet you Jayce and good luck this season!!!

The RIBBE is The Rhode Island Baseball Experience. It is promoting the game of baseball here in the great state of Rhode Island for the entire baseball world to see. The RIBBE is positive stories, photos, videos, and responsible social media posts. The RIBBE is an information resource for families looking for an AAU team or a summer camp or a great place to buy a first baseman’s mitt. The RIBBE is a network of coaches, tournament directors, parents, leagues, and baseball junkies whose passion of the game of baseball is unquestioned. I believe that providing expert analysis, information and directions to ballfields, and coaching advice from some of the top RI baseball minds will help promote the game of baseball here in RI to a whole new level.
Great addition for RI baseball.
