Tuesday Night Baseball at Truist Park featuring Atlanta Braves vs Chicago Cubs

On my recent trip to Lawrenceville, GA for ABF Freight, myself and two other work friends decided to take in the sites and sounds of Truist Park for Atlanta Braves baseball. Atlanta is having a historic year in terms of fans (3 million of them), players (how much time do you have), and the entire organization (first place by like 50 games). So, getting a chance to see the Braves and a potential Wild Card opponent in the playoffs (at game time Cubs were still in the WC race) was absolutely amazing. The weather cooperated, tickets were very reasonable through my friend’s ticket app, parked near the stadium, everyone was baseball ready for the game. Here is a photo recap of my trip to Truist Park, Atlanta, Georgia.

As I stated earlier, easy to find parking, we parked less than a mile from Truist Park, a bit of traffic but that is expected in the busy urban areas of Atlanta. Nice walk up and over I-75 to the 3rd base gate. A familiar Braves legend was awaiting us and greeted fans outside the stadium.

The 3 of us arrived about 1 hour prior to game time, so we took the time and walked the concourse. It didn’t take too long to find the Atlanta Braves Hall of Fame plaques, huge dedication area to the Boston and Milwaukee Braves, beautiful display honoring the late, great Henry Aaron, and all the amazing players who have donned the Braves uniform over the years. Here are some photos I captured in this very, very impressive Braves tribute area (one of the most impressive baseball collections since going to Cooperstown):

There were food vendors of all kinds, genres, varieties stretched across the concourse. So many choices, we actually walked around the entire stadium once before settling in inside the Chophouse in right center field. Great food, amazing view of the field, TVs everywhere, great atmosphere. And home run balls fly in there all the time!

As I typically do at any baseball field, I try to take as many photos from as many angles of the field as I can. See the field from home plate, right field, third base dugout, center field straight on. Truist Park really has no obstructed views and the ease of getting from section to section was just so comfortable. Here are a few photos as I walked around the stadium.

Way too many stars to mention with these two baseball powerhouses facing each other. The Braves have absolutely no holes in their lineup. In my opinion, they have 9 leadoff batters and 9 cleanup batters and I wouldn’t intentionally walk any of them to get to another hitter. They can score runs in bunches and come back from what may appear as an insurmountable lead at any time. The Cubs are overachieving for 2023 and have a ton of talent for years to come, plus a few mega stars in their lineup to help push them along this season. Great matchup and I was psyched to see all these great players in action.

Truist Park is one of the nicest professional baseball parks I have visited. Great food vendors, amazing views of the field, Braves are lights out talent wise, parking was convenient – A very cool Atlanta Baseball Experience and it was awesome to share it with some of my ABF co-workers.
