Rhode Island’s Jeff Diehl Now Offering Hitting & Catching Instruction at Hops Athletic Performance
One of the coolest things I get to experience as a baseball blogger and fan is interviewing Rhode Island baseball players who play or have played at a very high level. I have been lucky to have met and interviewed players who play/played at the collegiate levels, amateur summer leagues here in Rhode Island and on the Cape, and even a few that were drafted into and played professional baseball. A few years back, I was introduced to Cranston’s Jeff Diehl, who I interviewed back in 2019 (The RIBBE Gets To Know Cranston’s Jeff Diehl – From CLCF To The Mets) and I learned about his playing days with Cranston’s CLCF, Cranston West High School, and eventually the New York Mets minor league system. Jeff was a 23rd round draft pick by the New York Mets and played professionally for parts of 7 seasons.

Fast forward to 2022, Jeff Diehl is now offering hitting and catching instruction at Coventry’s Hops Athletic Performance. Jeff and I connected again recently via email and he sent me this promotional flyer for his hitting and catching instruction lessons:

To reach Jeff Diehl for more information on lessons, contact Jeff at 401.569.9526 or email Jeff at jd13hl@gmail.com. Hops Athletic Performance is located at 9 Lincoln Ave., Coventry, RI. Great to hear from Jeff and really psyched to see him giving back to the Rhode Island Baseball Community as an instructor.

The RIBBE is The Rhode Island Baseball Experience. It is promoting the game of baseball here in the great state of Rhode Island for the entire baseball world to see. The RIBBE is positive stories, photos, videos, and responsible social media posts. The RIBBE is an information resource for families looking for an AAU team or a summer camp or a great place to buy a first baseman’s mitt. The RIBBE is a network of coaches, tournament directors, parents, leagues, and baseball junkies whose passion of the game of baseball is unquestioned. I believe that providing expert analysis, information and directions to ballfields, and coaching advice from some of the top RI baseball minds will help promote the game of baseball here in RI to a whole new level.
