Upcoming Rhode Island Baseball Summer Camps, Prospect Clinics, One On One Instructional Opportunities

Is it Summer yet? The weather sure feels like summer. The Ocean State Waves and Newport Gulls are playing, that feels like summer. Schools are honoring seniors and families with graduation ceremonies, that feels like summer. So, it must be time for Summer Baseball Camp news here in Rhode Island. Just this week, I have had a number of emails and posts shared with me about camps, prospect clinics, and one on one instructional opportunities for Rhode Island baseball players and their families. I will be posting any and all information that comes across my desk (well onto my computer on the desk), so here is a list of what I have seen this week for camps, clinics, and instruction:

Good friend of the Rhode Island Baseball Experience, a heck of a shortstop in his day, and a great coach/dad Bob Downey is available for one on one baseball lessons this summer. Coach Downey is an assistant with Coventry High School and HC of the 16U Ocean State Makos club. To sign up, see Coach Downey’s contact information in the photo to the left.

Head Baseball Coach Eric Cirella at Salve Regina University, coming off a very impressive 2022 season, messaged me this week about two opportunities hosted by Salve Regina University Baseball. Prospect Clinics will be held on Monday June 27th and Monday August 8th. For more information, including registration, click on this link – Salve Baseball Clinics.

Another good friend to the Rhode Island Baseball Experience and successful head coach of the LaSalle Academy Rams Baseball Team, Tom Pacia and Hive Athletics will be hosting Ram Baseball Camp this July. For more info on the camp, click on this link – Ram Baseball Camp.

Brown University Baseball HC Grant Achilles Youth Summer Baseball Camp – “The Grant Achilles Youth Summer Baseball Camp is open to all youth between the ages of 7 through 13. The camps are designed to improve each player’s individual skill set through specific drills and camp instruction. This youth camp will focus on throwing drills, defense, hitting, baserunning, and pitching. Camp attendees will also get to experience Brown University’s baseball field, facilities and interact with the coaching staff.” July 11 – 15th, here is the link to the camp information – Grant Achilles Baseball Camp

Anchor Sports Baseball Camp is for all players from beginner and advanced level play at each age. Camp will be instructed by college level and above players and coaches, with assistance from current college and high school baseball players. Instruction will focus on each element of the game, including hitting, fielding, base running and game situations. In addition, there will be fun, competitive competitions each day (pickle, tennis-ball baseball, speed drills). JOIN us for a FUN, WEEK OF SUMMER BASEBALL!! North Kingstown High School baseball players, coaches running the NK Baseball Summer Camp in July. Coach Machado and Coach Brew will be welcoming youth baseball players from ages 8 to 14 this summer. Click on the QR code for more information.

Rhody Baseball (University of Rhode Island Baseball) has a number of opportunities this summer listed on the Rhody Baseball Camp page. First, Rhody Prospect Camp on June 21st. Then, two Rhody Baseball Youth Camp sessions – July 18th – July 22nd; August 8th – August 12th.
