Rhode Island Middle School Baseball Schedule – Opening Day Is April 7
The Rhode Island Principals Committee on Athletics, aka RIPCOA, is the governing body for athletics at the Rhode Island Middle School level. Their mission statement, abbreviated – “Athletic participation helps students grow, learn, and enjoy themselves while they use and develop their personal, physical, and intellectual skills. RIPCOA values the lessons that have long been taught by athletic participation: the pursuit of excellence through personal development and teamwork, ethical and responsible behavior on the field and off, adherence to the spirit of rules as well as to their letter, leadership and strength of character, and sportsmanship – respect for one’s opponents, acceptance of victory with humility and the acknowledgement of defeat with grace.” You can learn more about the mission of RIPCOA and the Rhode Island educators who are associated with each of the sports, as well as schedule of games and other announcements on their new website – www.ripcoa.com.

I was reading through the RIPCOA website yesterday and stumbled upon the 2022 Rhode Island Middle School baseball schedule. Here is how I got there.
- Head over to www.ripcoa.com
- Scroll down the screen where you see Twitter feed on the left and “Upcoming Events” on the right
- Just below the last event listed is a hyperlink labeled “More Events”- click those words
- There you will see a list of sports, click on “Baseball Middle School” and then hit “View”
- Then you can pull up the entire schedule
- Or, go to the calendar above the schedule and click on “April 2022” or “May 2022”
- Here is what you will see:

You can download the schedule to your calendar, to a spreadsheet for easy viewing or sharing, or just bookmark the page like I did so I can check back for updates. From what I can read, the season begins April 7th with an incredible 15 games scheduled all over Rhode Island. There are a few games scheduled prior to April 7th but not sure if they are scrimmages. And the season runs until the middle to end of May, then the playoffs begin to determine who will be crowned the next Rhode Island Middle School Baseball Champions. How exciting for these players, their coaches, their schools, and their families to know their season begins in just about 3 weeks time.

Always check the RIPCOA website for upcoming events happening throughout Rhode Island Middle School Athletics, like Baseball. Their new website is up and running – www.ripcoa.com – and you can find forms, schedules, and more throughout each athletic season. Wickford Middle School is still the reigning Rhode Island State Middle School Baseball Champs. Who will take their place this year? We find out starting this April. Good luck to all the players, coaches, schools, and families competing this year in Rhode Island Middle School baseball!
