Northeast Baseball Training is a fantastic indoor baseball and sports conditioning facility located at 775 Hartford Ave, Johnston. It features individual cages for hitting and pitching workouts, a retractable netting system that expands the practice area for infield and team practices, workout room for strength training, and tons of great energy as soon as you walk in the facility. Owners Gary and Toni Ann Salzillo welcomed me last year for a tour of Northeast Baseball Training and I had a blast meeting them, their staff, taking a walk around the facility, and learning more about their organization. And we have stayed in contact over the past year or so, as they update me not only on the facility, but on the Northeast Reds Baseball organization.

This past December, I ran a fan poll asking Rhode Island baseball fans to vote for categories like Best Pitcher, Best Hitter, Best BP Coach, etc. Northeast Baseball Training and Northeast Auto Body stepped up as a local sponsor of the poll and have generously donated a gift certificate to one of the winners. Huge thanks to Northeast Baseball Training and Northeast Auto Body for all you do for Rhode Island youth sports, especially baseball.

This morning, Toni Ann emailed me about an upcoming HitTrax Tournament being held this February at Northeast Baseball Training. I am happy to share the flyer with team and registration information below:

So, mark your calendars for Sunday, February 6th. As you can read from the flyer, there are several age divisions. Teams will play 5 inning games and there is a minimum of 3 games. Then, pool play for the final four, then championship round. The winning team gets championship T-shirts and bragging rights as the Northeast Baseball Training HitTrax Champs!!! Just another great feature of Northeast Baseball Facility, where you really feel the sense of community from the owners to the front desk staff, the parents in the waiting rooms, the players – it is an awesome Rhode Island Baseball Experience every time at Northeast Baseball Facility!
