Greater Providence YMCA To Host Free Positive Coaching Alliance Workshop in March
On Thursday, March 28th, the Greater Providence YMCA will be the host site for a free Positive Coaching Alliance (PCA) workshop entitled “Winning and Life Lessons.” Chris Fay is the PCA New England Chapter Training and Partnership Manager. Chris and I worked with the leaders at the YMCA to secure the Kent County YMCA for this special coaching workshop. According to Chris, “This free coaching workshop is a result of a grant from the Boston Red Sox Foundation in partnership with Little League® International.” The framework of the workshop is listed here below:

According to Chris, ” Positive Coaching Alliance is a national non-profit that was founded on the campus of Stanford University, and we currently deliver over 3,500 workshops per year for youth and high school athletic organizations nationwide. The workshop is approximately 90-minutes in length.” Positive Coaching Alliance has a comprehensive website with thousands of articles, videos, and testimonials to help build “Better Athletes, Better People.” Whether you are new to youth sports like Little League® or you are a seasoned coach/manager who has decades of experience, PCA has just what you are looking for. Their national advisory board reads like a Who’s Who of Sports Leaders. Dusty Baker, Jennifer Azzi, Mike Brey, Brandi Chastain, and the list goes on and on. For more information on how you can sign up your league for this free workshop, contact Chris Fay at the Positive Coaching Alliance – New England Chapter at chris_fay@positivecoach.org. PCA expects about 50 or more coaches to attend, so make sure you secure your spot today. And visit their website to learn more about PCA and how they help make Better Athletes, Better People®.
Event is Thursday, March 28th at 7pm on the campus of Kent County YMCA, Warwick, RI.
Special thanks to the staff at the Greater Providence YMCA for working with PCA on this workshop. And thank you to the Red Sox Foundation for this incredible grant to allow this workshop to be attended free of charge.
