Three age divisions – 10U, 11U, and 12U – have held their annual Rhode Island State baseball championship tournaments this past week. Iconic fields, extra inning games, home runs, diving catches, and more have been on display this week. The future looks bright for Rhode Island Baseball. Here is a recap of the three State Tournament Finals matchups:
10U – Warwick Continental American vs Cranston Western Little League – Game is scheduled for 6pm on Friday, July 27th. Randy Hien Field at Lonsdale Park, 270 River Road, Lincoln.
11U – Coventry Little League vs. King Philip Little League – Game is scheduled for Thursday, July 26th at 6:30pm. Cranston Western Little League Field, John Chafee Complex, Michael Varrato Field, 450 Hope Road, Cranston.
12U – #roadtowilliamsport and the Eastern Regional Little League® Tournament features Lincoln Little League vs. Coventry Little League. Game is scheduled for Thursday, July 26th at 6:30. Slater Park, 426 Newport Ave., Pawtucket.
Good luck to all the players, coaches, and families. Thank you to all the league volunteers, organizations, field crews, hot dog vendors, district administrators, and local town and city first responders and town management for your commitment to youth sports such as Little League® baseball.
Should be an exciting finish to a very exciting District season. And hopefully, a sign of what is to come in the regional tournaments in August.
