When you watch a Major League Baseball game, the majority of viewers will say “I’m watching the Red Sox vs. the Astros.” Well, in Wickford Little League, the majority of viewers, player, coaches, and fans say “Print World is facing NDK Dental” or “Launch Trampoline Park is facing Dave’s Marketplace.” Sponsoring local youth sports is not a new concept in any way. I still remember my team, FOP, playing the Tarbox Motors Gremlins some 20 or so years ago in Wickford Little League. The sponsor’s name just sticks with you and is a great way to advertise your services locally. And now with social media pages and websites explaining your business via mobile devices, someone could look up your business and find out more about you, just by attending a Wickford Little League game.
Local sponsorship and community involvement has been a part of one local business since 1991, Print World. They have plaques lining their doorway signifying their commitment to youth sports, the North Kingstown Food Pantry, just to name a few. Print World is a local printing resource for homeowners and businesses in North Kingstown and surrounding areas. They are a full service printing and copying center, where walk-in appointments are welcome. Print World specializes in all types of printing solutions – newsletters, business cards, invitations, posters. They have a graphic design specialist in their office on Post Rd., who is available to assist customers with logo design for websites, business stationary, and more. Owner Raoul Holzinger told me that Print World’s strong point is “we listen. Sounds simple but we listen to the needs of the customer and evaluate what is best for their needs.”
One item that really caught my eye at Print World was a very rare looking and certainly unique printing machine. There is some printing press history on a banner just about this antique printing machine. If you love history and gadgets like I do, it is definitely something you should check out.
