Hops Athletic Performance Thanksgiving Charity Tournament
One of the best Rhode Island baseball pages to check during any season (pre, post, off, on) is Hops Athletic Performance. Hops Athletic Performance does an amazing job posting sports, conditioning, and baseball news on its network of social media pages. Matt Hopkins and his staff work with a wide range (age wise) of student athletes, professional baseball players, and local Rhode Island baseball organizations year round to (according to their Facebook page) “help one reach his/her greatest athletic potential.” Over the years, Matt has been a great contributor to this page and his baseball and sports conditioning knowledge is off the charts! Hops videos are awesome to watch and showcase some of the best Rhode Island baseball and softball players working on pitching, hitting, and reaching their athletic potential. If you haven’t already, check out Hops on social media! I’ll get you the links at the end of this blog.
This past week, I read a post on the Hops Facebook page and wanted to share it with you and your league and your baseball community:
“Happy to be doing our Annual Thanksgiving HitTrax Tournament again this year the Saturday after Thanksgiving. Unfortunately we missed it last year so we’re hoping we can bounce back with an awesome turnout for BASEBALL and SOFTBALL. All proceeds benefit the Tomorrow Fund which provides Financial and Emotional Support to children with cancer and their families. Please share and gather teams for this great cause.”

The RIBBE is The Rhode Island Baseball Experience. It is promoting the game of baseball here in the great state of Rhode Island for the entire baseball world to see. The RIBBE is positive stories, photos, videos, and responsible social media posts. The RIBBE is an information resource for families looking for an AAU team or a summer camp or a great place to buy a first baseman’s mitt. The RIBBE is a network of coaches, tournament directors, parents, leagues, and baseball junkies whose passion of the game of baseball is unquestioned. I believe that providing expert analysis, information and directions to ballfields, and coaching advice from some of the top RI baseball minds will help promote the game of baseball here in RI to a whole new level.
