2020 Rhode Island All Star 10U State Tournament Bracket Released
Just as the excitement of the Rhode Island 12U All Star State Tournament had reached its peak Sunday afternoon, it was time for Chris Charette to switch gears to the 10U Division Tournament. Chris and his team of volunteers from Chariho Little League had been working both the 12U games and planning the upcoming 10U games during the week of September 21st. Once the final 12U game was played, the field was raked, the concession stand was boarded up Sunday, it was time to focus all of their efforts on the Rhode Island 10U All Star State Tournament. Chris, in addition to be tournament director, is also a coach for Chariho Little League’s 10U team in the tournament.
Monday September 28, 15 teams from all over Rhode Island youth baseball began pool play to determine the seeding for the quarterfinals, semis, and championship game. 10U players (can be 8, 9, 10) and their teammates, coaches, and families traveled to some of the best baseball fields we have here in Rhode Island. They will play again tonight, Wednesday September 30, to determine the seeding for Friday night’s games. After Friday, the tournament shifts 100% to Dow Field, home of Chariho Little League. Here is the bracket and upcoming schedule of games for the 2020 Rhode Island 10U All Star State Tournament.

A few things to note. One, Smithfield Little League, originally in the tournament removed themselves from the tournament last week. So there are now 15 teams in the tournament. This leaves the brackets with a BYE in Round 1 of games and a BYE for a team tonight in Round 2. More than likely, another BYE will take place as the teams are seeded for Friday’s games. Here are the scores from Monday night’s roster of games:

Weather and field conditions will be a factor as the tournament plays tonight and into the weekend. After today and possibly some rain on Friday, the rest of the week and weekend looks promising. Good luck to all the players, coaches, and families participating in the 2020 Rhode Island 10U All Star State Tournament.
