Who Will Be Crowned the 2020 Rhode Island All Star Tournament Champ?
Beginning Monday September 21st, two weeks of baseball will determine who is the unofficial Rhode Island State Champion for the 12U and 10U divisions. 20 12U teams and 16 10U teams will compete in a playoff format to decide which league can take home the title of All-Star Weekend Tournament Champion. I received an update from tournament director Chris Charette of Chariho Little League, who stated “The stage is now set for 2 weeks of All star baseball starting Sept 21st. 20 teams from across RI in the 12U and 16 teams for 10U. The response on this has been overwhelming to say the least. We can’t wait to kick this off next Monday. This has been a ton of work putting together but I love the buzz from all the towns preparing for it. I think we needed something like this for some kind of normalcy in this crazy time.”
Chris sent me a photo of the trophies, which are ready and waiting to be handed out to the 2020 All Star Weekend Tournament Champion for the 12U and 10U divisions.

As soon as I have schedule of games, times, locations, and safety information I will post it. Stay tuned for an exciting 2 weeks of baseball here in Rhode Island, culminating with the All Star Weekend Tournament championships. What an incredible way to end the Summer of 2020. One for the ages!!!
Good luck to all the players, coaches, and families participating.
