The RIBBE Visit’s Middletown Little League and Antone Medeiros Field

Middletown Little League plays in Rhode Island Little League’s District 2. This summer, I visited their baseball and softball complex located at 389 Aquidneck Ave in Middletown. The fields are located just outside the busy tourist and beach area of Middletown behind Aquidneck Elementary School. A plaque on the first field in view from the parking lot reads “Antone Medeiros Little League Field, 1947-1964” honoring the late Antone “Tony” Medeiros.

Both Medeiros Field and the field behind it were in fantastic shape when I visited in mid September. There is plenty of seating along the first base and third base lines, as well as great views from left or right field areas. Parking is available on the left field side of the baseball fields. Great sponsorship signage throughout the fields, concession stand, supply shed, and more. There are batting cages set up just outside Medeiros Field and are easily accessible. One feature I really liked was the extended fences high up and passed the dugouts on each side. I thought this was a great safety feature for fans and players alike.

It was a gorgeous late summer day when I visited Middletown Little League’s Medeiros Field. The fields and grounds were in baseball ready condition. Parking was conveniently located next to the fields. Fields are located next to Aquidneck Elementary School just outside the beach and tourist area of Middletown. I had a great visit to Middletown Little League.
