I received a great email tonight from Lonnie Swanson. Swanson is the owner of Swanson Recruitment and Video Services. Recruiting videos have been used for years to showcase athletes looking to play at the collegiate level, sometimes a prep school or even to send to professional scouts. Athletes can send these promotional videos, along with their school resume, career stats, sports highlights, and more to create a comprehensive package to their prospective team or school. Athletic Directors, Professional Scouts, and Sports Agents love video and in this era of YouTube and Instagram, it can be shared electronically with just a touch of a button.

I’m looking to expand into all sports (Softball and Baseball are two of my favorite to work with). If you are aware of any athletes that need their recruitment video work done, please feel free to pass my information along. I also work with whole teams which result in discounts. Also, I’m doing some promotional/marketing videos that they can put on their website to help promote their team. I will work with your budget to make this experience a positive one for you and your athlete.
The video services focus on assisting the athlete that is interested in continuing their passion in college. Emailing College coaches you are interested in is a must! Attaching a skills and mechanics video is what will bring your email to the next level and maybe the piece that brings the coach to the field to see the athlete. When asked most college coaches say “yes, I want to see a video with an introduction email”.
Our goal is to work with the athlete to meet their needs to showcase their talent in an efficient way and at a very reasonable cost. We support all sports and can even do on-sight video work to capture game situations. We complete off season short skill videos along with taking the video you have personally captured by putting them in a format that highlights the athlete so it can be sent to the college coaches.
