My Tour of 42 Rhode Island Little League® Baseball Fields
The past several months, The RIBBE has visited just about every Little League® town in Rhode Island. My goal is to promote every Little League® organization, celebrate the great work of volunteers, and help introduce people, sponsors, places, and events to as wide an audience as possible. There are so many great individuals from Westerly to Smithfield, Woonsocket to Chariho, and all those great towns, cities, and villages in between. Most of these individuals are responsible for the maintenance, upgrades, and signage at their local Little League® ball fields. Most have worked tirelessly so their sons and daughters could play in a safe and rewarding environment. And now, most are continuing to work on these fields even after their child has “graduated” out of Little League®. The people I have met in this journey to photograph and catalog these fields are tremendous in character and deserve to be recognized.
Starting in October, I will share these photographs of the fields here in Rhode Island with you via this blog site. And I will point out any person or persons I have met at that organization who deserves a huge ovation at your next board meeting. If you would like to nominate someone for my article who is deserving of praise for:
- Working on the baseball fields
- Running a special event
- Organizing the upgrade of a bullpen area or lights
- Putting in that special effort year after year
then send me an email with their information so I can include it in the article. A lot of volunteers go into each league’s success on and off the fields. My goal is to give them the thanks and appreciation that they don’t always ask for, but most certainly deserve.
Email is firstname.lastname@example.org. Or you can message me through The RIBBE Facebook page – The Rhode Island Baseball Experience.

The RIBBE is The Rhode Island Baseball Experience. It is promoting the game of baseball here in the great state of Rhode Island for the entire baseball world to see. The RIBBE is positive stories, photos, videos, and responsible social media posts. The RIBBE is an information resource for families looking for an AAU team or a summer camp or a great place to buy a first baseman’s mitt. The RIBBE is a network of coaches, tournament directors, parents, leagues, and baseball junkies whose passion of the game of baseball is unquestioned. I believe that providing expert analysis, information and directions to ballfields, and coaching advice from some of the top RI baseball minds will help promote the game of baseball here in RI to a whole new level.
