The Playroom At The Moon Palace Offers A Safe Place for Families

Families travelling to the gorgeous Moon Palace Golf and Spa Resort have quite the list of activities – both indoors and outdoors.  Family friendly pools, restaurants, and recreation facilities welcome family members of all ages to take part in these activities.  And sometimes, the parents or guardians need some time to themselves on vacation.  So, if you are travelling to the Moon Palace or any of the other Palace Resort Hotels with young travelers, you can also take comfort in a very special part of the resort.  And that special place is called “The Playroom.”

At the Moon Palace Golf and Spa Resort, “The Playroom” is a child care option like none I have ever witnessed.  Located just off the walkway between the Sunrise and Nizuc lobbies, is the most incredible day care center.  On the outside next to the main building, you can find a huge fenced in playground complete with sand box, swing set, and massive playset with slides, ropes, and more.  It was an incredible sight for sure.  And then I went inside the building.

Just inside The Playroom, I was greeted by a very friendly front desk staff person, who again was helpful and spoke very good English.  Everywhere I went at the Moon Palace, the greeting was the same – warm and friendly.  There were regulatory signs on the walls in both English and Spanish explaining hours of operation, procedures, and restrictions.  Each guest needed to fill out a consent form and provide the child care staff with information regarding allergies and other important data about their child.  Children were let in through a security gate which was monitored by the front desk staff.  All very good first impressions for safety and concern for the guest dropping off their child at The Playroom.

The front desk attendant escorted me around The Playroom to show me the various rooms and features.  I was amazed at the variety of activities here.  I saw a Boy’s Zone, A Fashion Room, A Doll House Room, towers with books for children of all ages.  There was a movie theater.  There was an X-Box room.  There was an arcade.  Each room had tons of activities for a wide range of ages for boys and girls.  Each room clean, colorful, and full of exciting stuff for kids.

Towards the back of The Playroom was an indoor track for tricycle play and possibly races.  There was a playset inside that looked like an obstacle course with padding swings, climbing rings, a tube to crawl through and a chute into a pool of plastic coated balls.  Even a small merry-go-round.  Everywhere you looked, there was something for some kids to do – reading, playing video games, dressing up dolls, watching a movie, just playing and being a kid.  The Playroom was just incredible.

At the front desk area, there was a schedule of activities for each day.  Art classes, movie times, dance lessons, face painting, pinata time, even pizza making, and dodgeball.  If you are traveling with young children and want to spend the afternoon at the Spa, you can have the peace of mind knowing there is a safe place for your children.  If you are interested in taking a golf lesson or playing a round of golf with your spouse, you can use The Playroom for a few hours while you relax on the golf course.  Or, if you just need an hour to have a quiet lunch by the pool with the love of your life, The Playroom will help make that happen.

Guests must stay on the resort property when dropping off their children at The Playroom.  The Playroom is for children 4 to 12.  Only the parents are allowed to sign in and sign out their child.  The Playroom is open from 8 am to 10 pm.  Some additional requirements and restrictions apply.  The Playroom was at the Moon Palace and I also noticed it when Rachel and I traveled to The Beach Palace and Playacar Palace, which are two other resorts in the Palace Resorts group.  Overall, it was one of the most amazing places on the property of the Moon Palace Golf and Spa Resort.

The North Kingstown Marketing Company is proud to promote the Palace Resorts group.  Stay tuned for more articles about the resort, its incredible amenities, restaurants, and staff.  To find out more about the Palace Resorts in Mexico or Jamaica, please contact me for more information.
